General – VPS/VM and Traffic:
Q: How can I install a VPS?
A: G2 VPSs can be installed via the VM Panel using templates or ISOs. All other VPSs and IXP VMs can be installed via the Proxmox VE console from an ISO.

Q: How do Bandwith limits work?
A: On G2 VPSs a fixed Quota is assigned. After the quote has been used up, speed is limited to 8Mbit/s. On IXP VMs and all other VPSs we apply fair-use traffic.

Q: What does " 100Mbit/s, up to 1Gbit/s burst (fair-use)” mean?
A: You can use at least 100Mbit/s, you may burst to 1Gbit/s but we don’t guarantee it, and traffic is fair use as per our TOS.

Q: How can I set rDNS on my VPS?
A: You can request rDNS via ticket. Setting rDNS on the main IPs is free, setting rDNS on routed prefixes may incur a fee.

Q: How can I set rDNS on my IXP Ports?
A: IXP rDNS is fixed and cant be changed.

Activation:
Q: Why was my service not directly activated?
A: VPS Services are usually activated within 6h during office hours or at latest within 24 hours. Make sure that your account has a verified email address and the billing details match.

Q: How long does it take for a custom service to be activated?
A: Custom Services such as IXP ports, Colo, L2, may take a couple days to complete as a 3rd party company is involved.

Billing:
Q: Which Payment methods are supported?
A: We accept PayPal, Credit Cards and Bank Transfers (CHF and EUR)

Q: Why can't i pay with Credit Cards?
A: Credit Card payments are available after the first payment, open a ticket after you first order if they are not automatically enabled.

Q: Where can I cancel my order/service?
A: Please open a ticket to cancel your service.

Q: I’m not using your service, but I keep getting invoices?
A: Please open a ticket to cancel your service. Uncanceled services generate invoices for every term.

Q: Are Crypto Payments possible?
A: No, we don't accept any crypto payments.

Q: Can you sponsor our non-profit project?
A: We sponsor non-profit organisations and charities if they meet some criteria such as having a public page, being a (registered) association, and the project being of value to a broad audience – feel free to reach out to us with an offer.

Q: Why was I charged twice via PayPal?
A: Make sure that you only have one PayPal Subscription setup. Excess payments will be applied to your my.ifog.ch balance.
